The maker festival for education is coming up!
Good news!
In 2018 we will organise a cool maker festival, with a solid base for education, inspirational projects for in the classroom and international speakers from the Maker Education scene. Our plan is to be handpicked as one of the three proposals delivered to the Ministry of Education.
The maker festival shows the best that The Netherlands has to offer. From Do-It-Yourself to cutting edge technological developments. From start-ups to established professionals. And numerous best practices from alle levels of education. It is a celebration of our beautiful education system and the creative, technical maker industry in The Netherlands. It offers a powerful impulse to connect and strenghten the sectors.
3D-printing, robotica, hacking, building of installations, expositions, workshops, masterclasses, Maker-Challenges, tours, demo’s, speeches, debates, meet and greet and live entertainment. Professionals from educational platforms, inventors, do-it-selvers, craftsmen, scientists, artists, makers and students show what they make and share ideas, knowledge and skills.
The main purpose: inspire education to make, and make way for the creativity and technology from the 21st century into the education chain.
The event is developed by a collection of partners from educational platforms, businesses, libraries, the maker movement, media and festival organisations.
The partners are:
Fabklas Frysklab
Stichting Fablab
Benelux Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen
Maker Festival Twente
