On August 19th 2016 the fourth edition of the Amsterdam Maker Festival will take place. After earlier editions in the Kromhouthal and at the NDSM terrain in Amsterdam North, we will now land at the Marineterrein in the city centre of Amsterdam.

The Amsterdam Maker Festival is part of a new concept called Nerderlands. The main goal of the festival is to connect Makers with the public, with eachother, to inspire and to showcase how much fun and useful the art of Making is.

Window of Opportunities

In 2016 we chose the theme ‘Window of Opportunities’
Together we will showcase that the ‘Maker Movement’ offers an enormous amount of chances for all ages. Makers from the Amsterdam area will get the opportunity to present themselves to the public. The focus will be on the connections between makers, between makers and the industry, between makers and the youth and makers and the city.

During the festival there will be enough space for TECH (tech makers), CRAFTS and ofcourse DIY (Do It Yourselves). Next to that we will also facilitate alot of INFORMATION through readings, debates, films and workshops. Cultural makers are also very welcome and ofcourse we will host the coolest and best Amsterdam FOOD makers.

Are you working on VR, 3D, Robotics, are you building games or instruments, are you that creative technic, a specialist with machines, a hacker, an artist, a designer, are you the real MAKER? Are you operating in the area of Amsterdam? We cordially invite makers, companies and organisations to come and showcase their knowledge and science at the Amsterdam Maker Festival 2016.

• As a Maker you get 3 days to showcase your product or technology.
• Visitors get a 3 day access to visit the festival and meet you and your product.
• There will be free publicity around the festival.
• Opportunities for networking with commercial companies and other Makers.
• Possibilities for selling your product.
• This website will hold your company details, including photo, product/company description and website.
• You will take part in the network drinks and can bring 1 guest with you.

Registration requirements

• Registration is only final after confirmation from our team.
• The activities from the Maker have a connection with one of the core themes, which are:
  – Tech
  – Crafts
  – Make it yourselves
  – Informative
  – Entertainment
• The Maker brings interaction like demonstrations, workshops or an inspiring speech.
• The preference is that the Maker makes him/herself available for all festival days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). If this cannot be the case,please discuss this with the team.
• A small commitment fee of  € 25,00 per Maker will be charged.
• Commercial Makers will pay the fee of € 100,00. A commercial Maker is one who will sell his/her products during the festival.
